How did you get started playing guitar?
I was traveling through Tibet with a friend and we ran out of money. The only way to make money there was to either sell your body or play music for tips so I started drumming rhythms on a bucket. I was eventually able to afford a sitar is which is a type of Indian lute. That's when the real money started coming in.
Favorite guitarists?
I don't really believe in having favorites because it leads to comparisons and others being considered less. Life is too short for that. Let's just say I enjoy The Blues Man quite a bit...and C.C. Deville pretty much sucks.
Who is in your Ipod right now?
Mostly philosophy and spirituality audio books and some gregarian chants. I've also got some Swedish death metal in there.
What do you like best about this?
For me, it's all about the free expression of ideas. My ideas, the band's ideas, your ideas. Well, probably not your ideas but you get my point. The feeling of emotion flowing through your fingers onto a fretboard and eventually through a tortured Marshall is really difficult to put into words. Maybe cool. Or awesome.
Rig details…
Fender Strat and Epiphone Gibson Les Paul. Amp is a Peavey Delta Blues 2x10 combo pluged into Marshall 1960 half stack with no pedals. I also strum my Washburn acoustic every now and then to keep Rich happy. .
Favorite drink?
There you go with that "favorite" question again. You're pretty judgemental.
Parting shot…Love your daughters, love your mothers, love your brothers, love your fathers but most of all, tell the manager that you'd like to see us back.
